Maplejet’s Ink Partner Develops New for Hot Environment Skip to main content

Maplejet’s ink partner has developed Chronplast-S that can work in an environment with a temperature higher than 35 degrees Celsius. The same ink can be used in Metal, PET, PE, Glossy coated paper, with faster drying time (based on a 25-degree Celsius environment), and a higher decapping time of up to 72 hours.

Various inkjet printer OEM’s offer an array of ink such as solvent-based, pigment-based, water-based, and UV-cured that can be used for printing on glass jars, aluminum cans, corrugated boxes, PET bottles, sachets, and other flexible substrates. However, aside from the type of ink, one factor that needs to be considered to suit an ink for a particular application is the working temperature environment.

In regions such as Europe and North America, the working temperature can go extremely low in winter, which may affect the drying time of inks, and sometimes it could freeze inks in the nozzles causing clogs. On the contrary, manufacturing companies in the Middle East and African region may often encounter hot to the extremely hot working environment. One of the challenges in a high-temperature environment is that ink may dry in the nozzle causing a blockage.

MapleJet is continuously looking for solutions to meet the requirements of various manufacturing companies in different regions on a global scale.
