Optimizing Your Vertical Filling Packaging Machine
Does your production line struggle with print quality on flexible films? We designed the new Multihead Elevator System specifically to improve the performance of your vertical filling packaging machine. This system allows you to mount up to six printheads—or as many as your specific line requires—using a single ProDigit controller.
Furthermore, the elevator system significantly reduces the distance between the printhead and the substrate. Consequently, this ensures a precise printing position, which is critical for the fast-moving film on a vertical filling packaging machine. This upgrade guarantees that your expiration dates and lot codes are always sharp and legible.
All About Ink: Rapid Plus Reduces Service Calls
Since its introduction in 2015, Rapid Plus ink has been a game-changer for manufacturers using a vertical filling packaging machine. Remarkably, this ink has reduced service calls caused by nozzle blocks by up to 90 percent.
Nozzle blocking happens when ink dries inside the nozzle, preventing flow during printing. Rapid Plus solves this issue while maintaining a fast dry time. Primarily, this is a general-purpose ink designed for non-porous applications such as plastic, metal, and aluminum—materials commonly used in vertical filling.

New T-Bracket Mounting for ProDigit 70
Finally, following the bulk-ink system release, MapleJet has added a T-bracket mounting feature for the ProDigit 70. While the vertical filling packaging machine usually requires the ProDigit 18, this new T-bracket offers flexible options for customers using Large Character printers on their outer cases.
